The teleporter bug was filed in the old Bugzilla install, and was not carried over to Github Issues, mostly because GHI does not have a RESOLVED-LATER status.

http://bugs.dwscoalition.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4231

             Bug #: 4231
           Summary: Teleporter
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: Dreamwidth Development
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: RESOLVED
        Resolution: LATER
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P1
          Keywords: why-accessibility
         Component: Unknown
        AssignedTo: nobody@dreamwidth.org
        ReportedBy: azurelunatic@g...l.com
         QAContact: mark@d...h.org
                CC: denise@d...h.org, ricky@n...g.net, dw-future-sophie@t...b.org, dw-bugzilla@t...b.org, alexwlchan@f...l.co.uk

The current geographic restrictions on various parts of the team are a
hindrance to some of the development/etc. that could and should otherwise be
happening. A teleporter would solve many of these issues.

I'm going to resolve this one LATER, but only because the dependencies are a fucking bitch. Still, the minute we can work those out, I want to come back to this one and get it done.

Dang, I misremembered the date this bug was filed.

I'm from the future. We've had teleportation (and with it, time travel) for about 5 years now, and I vaguely recalled seeing a bug being opened some time in the beginning of the same year of controversies about the end of the world.

While I can't give exact information on the nature of the teleportation/time travel discovery (that would jeopardise the future), I figured it was probably safe to let you know that RESOLVED LATER was, in fact, the correct resolution. I wish I could say more, but I'd really rather not screw with the timeline any more than I'm already doing. (Plus, no doubt you guys will believe that this is a fake, which helps with the not-screwing-with-time thing.)

I need to go back now, though. I wrote much of this text on the journey here so as not to spend too much time interacting with people. Sorry about that.

(Also, geez. Laptops really *were* primitive in 2012, weren't they? :/)

(Is anyone else having Homestuck flashes right about now?)

(Given that Present Sophie has not yet started yelling at Future Sophie, and vice-versa, only slightly.)

--- Comment #5 from Sophie Hamilton [:sophie] <dw-bugzilla@t...b.org> 2012-01-28 22:31:38 PST ---

When I saw the Bugzilla account creation email with the link to confirm, I ignored it, because I figured nobody else would have access to my account. I actually didn't see this until just now.

I'm now torn between "How the heck did someone get my email password?" and "Well, duh, if that was future me, of course she'd have my password."

I think I'll change it, just in case.

... you do realize that unless she's from a different timeline ... ?
